These versatile bowls can be used for dishes like ramen noodles, salads, serving small groups, and just about anything else you can think of in the kitchen. I have similar sized Corelle food bowls (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B085WSHFVQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for comparison. Both are large and versatile. They're twice as heavy as the Corelle and I suspect that while the decorative combs are nice, they'll wear out sooner or later. They have a flatter, wider underside, which I prefer to the Corelle's smaller, rounded base. They also break much more often than Corelle. If I had to choose between the two types I have, despite being more attractive and having a wider flat bottom, I would choose the Corelle primarily for durability. Corelle can last for decades. But if you don't mind wearing out or replacing some of these in the years to come (if they're still available), then you might prefer these porcelain bowls.
