Best i've tried to date

Having used several under sink water filter systems in the past (6) to date, I got little knack for installing these things.I had two that leaked a lot and water damage is not fun. I read the reviews on the 3 stage Aquasana and then called the company to get more infor and also ask about parts. They were more than willing to help me with my install, which was going to be totally different than all my other systems.I wanted to drop down under the kitchen sink to my dry basement with a drain, and

Pros
  • High Flow Rate - This system powers through a half-gallon of water every minute. No need to wait for clean water compared to traditional drip filters.
Cons
  • May result in reduced water pressure or flow rate

"I really liked this system (purchased May, 2016) until the plastic housing broke without warning while under pressure and flooded the house. So nice filtered pristine water still ruins things just like unfiltered city water.Clearly a mfr defect in the plastic. It appears sturdy but It broke right around the bottom edge and down the middle where the injection molding nipple is. After this happened, I noticed other reviews of failures exactly like mine. Plastic filter housing breaks without…

Pros
  • Easiest Filter Replacement - Replacements are engineered for ease. No need to disconnect hoses or water lines. housing easily twists off for snappy replacement.
Cons
  • Chrome faucet may clash with other kitchen decor

It's okay - my new review

1. Could use longer tubing. I had to buy 2 rolls of tubing to mount properly under the sink.2. Could user a better T-valve. I bought a valve with a switch so I could just turn off the filters and not the whole sink.3. Does take the odor out of the water4. Does not take all the ions out of the water so if your water has high PPM it will still be high5. Takes out a lot of contaminants but fluoride is not one of them.6. Better than the brita pitcher filter we were using before.

Pros
  • The 3-stage filtration process ensures that your water is free from impurities and contaminants
Cons
  • Not as effective at removing sediment or turbidity as more specialized filters

The BEST water! on my review.

I don't know why we waited so long to get an under the sink filter. Took me under an hour to hook it up. Super simple directions. The first picture is after install. Fits perfectly where the soap dispenser used to be. Video shows the water flow. I am very pleased with the flow rate. And the taste - unbelievable! Better than the Brita pitcher we've used for years. The unit itself is nit very big. The third and fourth pics show it in the cabinet under my standard size sink. Yes, I have a ton of…

Pros
  • Water Filtration & Softeners
Cons
  • Requires regular replacement of filter cartridges, adding to the overall cost

Revised review after problems

Original review left unchanged, written at the time of purchase: Filters are compact and easy to change. But you have to keep record of when you change it because it doesn't tell you when its done. Also, it would be nice if the faucet could have the handle go the other way (mine is awkward where it ended up on the sink). But I love that it's not an RO system which wastes so much water.Revised after 6months and first filter change: first of all, it did have a filter change alarm which I never…

Pros
  • The Aquasana system has received rave reviews from customers, with many praising the improved taste and quality of their water and the ease of installation
Cons
  • Cannot remove viruses or bacteria, so may not be suitable for all types of water

Item has no support even before you buy it

I asked seller two question. these are questions with answers.Question 1. Can you explain/compare the differences between claryum direct connect vs 3-stage under sink vs 3-stage max flow claryum vs brittaAnswer 1. This question has nothing to do with Aquasana. it asks about claryum.Question 2.What the difference between product that you sell on amazon! namely product aq-5300+.56, aq-5300.56, aq-mf-1 and also how it is compared to britta.Answer 2. Never owned a Britta. The aq-5300+ is…

Pros
  • Have been using for months. We use the filtered water to refill our store bought water bottles.
Cons
  • May be difficult to install without a plumbing professional

Nice under the sink unit

This is a nice under the sink filter system that is easy to install (I did it myself, in about 15-20 mins). The faucet looks nice on the top of sink and keeps things looking nice. The water comes out at an okay speed, not really fast but not too slow. I would prefer a little faster but not slow enough to say forget it and get a new system. We have been using it since 2014 and have been happy with it.The filters are easy to change and last me about 7-9 months with 2 people and 2 dogs that drink…

Pros
  • The Aquasana system is built to last, using high-quality materials that resist wear and tear over time
Cons
  • Filter cartridges may need to be replaced more frequently in areas with heavily contaminated water

Install at your own RISK!

The system overall did a decent job of giving us good tasting drinking water however it did a better job of turning our kitchen into a foot soaking pool. Yesterday (10/6/22) one of the three cartridge holders simply expanded and failed, spraying continuously under the sink (see photo). I did nothing wrong the plastic just failed. When I called Aquasana I was told this happens and that I could purchase new improved cartridge holders. Purchase replacements for their defective product after…

Pros
  • Cost Efficient & Long Lasting - The most economical filter on the market at less than 10 cents per gallon filtered. Lasts for 6 months or 600 gallons before a replacement filter is needed.
Cons
  • Only suitable for an under-sink location, limiting its versatility

OK for Mexico best in my review

I just installed this because I live in Mexico. I have only used it a week or so and seems to be working well. However when I used it for a couple pots of coffee I did notice some belly issues. Nothing bad but noticeable. I have decided to just slowly add more filtered water to my every day so I can get used to it. I do give it to my animals and definitely boil with it. If not using in Mexico it's pretty awesome. Great value to. I installed myself. Just don't forget the little inserts that go…

Pros
  • The Aquasana system is an affordable option compared to other filtration systems, making it accessible for budget-conscious households
Cons
  • May not be suitable for renters or those who plan to move frequently

Much butter than our RO System

We just love this filter system. We purchased it to replace a failed reverse osmosis tank that we had for years. At the recommendation of our plumber we chose to go with a filter, this one has three stages, over the RO since it's cost effective and saves water (no waste!) first, Much like the others mention, the water tasted slightly sweet at first. Over time that went away and now I wonder why I ever had a reverse osmosis tank at all. What a waste of money! We love the water taste and that we…

Pros
  • The 99% chlorine removal rate ensures that your water tastes clean and fresh, free from any unwanted chemical taste or odor
Cons
  • Cannot remove dissolved gases, which may affect the taste or odor of the water

We have had this water filter since 2013 (now its 2021) and love it. The water tastes great and the filter removes lead which is not common without going all out reverse osmosis. I don't like RO for filtered water though because of all the water waste, the number of filters to replace, the expense, and having to re-add minerals after filtration. My only complaint is that the water flow is much less than advertised due to the low water volume (aka pressure) here in Chicago. However, just this…

Cons
  • Filter cartridges may be expensive to replace over time

Good water filter good for me

I like this filter. Not too difficult to install. Filters are easy to install. After 3 months the flow became much slower. Replacing the filters fixed it.

Pros
  • The Kitchen Counter Claryum Filtration system not only removes chlorine but also reduces heavy metals, pesticides, and other harmful chemicals
Cons
  • May require additional purchases or adapters to work with certain plumbing setups

Beware Replacement Filters Leak

Like many others have written.Great filtration, but beware that filter replacement will yield leaks - on all 3 filters? I wonder if the O-Rings need to be replaced a swell.

Pros
  • The filtration system improves the overall taste and quality of your water, making it easier to stay hydrated and healthy
Cons
  • Some consumers may be hesitant to modify their plumbing for environmental or financial reasons

Good filter: my feedback

This filter was extremely easy to install and works well. I like that you can turn the faucet on and it stays on. Taste of the water is great.

Pros
  • With regular maintenance, the Aquasana system can last up to 6 months, saving you money in the long run
Cons
  • May require additional space under the sink, limiting storage options
