Best i've tried to date

Having used several under sink water filter systems in the past (6) to date, I got little knack for installing these things.I had two that leaked a lot and water damage is not fun. I read the reviews on the 3 stage Aquasana and then called the company to get more infor and also ask about parts. They were more than willing to help me with my install, which was going to be totally different than all my other systems.I wanted to drop down under the kitchen sink to my dry basement with a drain, and install the system there and run the tubing up through the sink cabinet and to the faucet. They said we can send you another 8' of tubing free. The photos pretty much are the install. A picture is really worth a thousand words.FIRST.install the faucet and BE SURE to fit the faucet with the tubing FIRST and drop the tubing down your sink hole that you will be mounting the faucet.this saves a lot of time and scraped knuckles under the sink. All you do next is slide the washers and nuts onto the tubing and tighten the ONE nut to your sink.that part is now done. Next find where you will be mounting your unit, put the two screws into the wall on a stud if possible or use wall fastners if no stud. Then put on the filters, the screw a quarter turn and lock, to take them off screw a quarter turn and they drop down. Now the hardest part took me all of 30 mins to install. From my 1/2" copper pipe, I used a shark bite connector and installed a shut off valve (30 seconds) came off that valve with the 3/8th tubing to the inlet marked "IN" on the filter side plate. Simply push the tubing into the hole until it seats or snaps in. That side is now done. On the other side (outlet side) you are given 1/4" tubing. don't know why it could not all be the same size, guess it has something to do with the fittings on the faucet. Push in the 1/4" tubing the same way as the inlet side. .and you're done, turn on the water and check for leaks. if none let it run for 30 minutes and it's ready to use. I've had mine for about 4 months and no leaks and it works as I wanted it to.from the basement to the sink right above it. Shown are the shutoff valve, battery warning compartment, the 1/2" tubing for the inlet side, the 1/4" tubing coming out of the exit side and be sure to loop your tubing so the flow is not kinked. You can get a radiu8s stabilizer to put the tubing in at the loop and screw it to the wall for "no flapping" when the water is turned on.

Pros
  • High Flow Rate - This system powers through a half-gallon of water every minute. No need to wait for clean water compared to traditional drip filters.
Cons
  • May result in reduced water pressure or flow rate
