"I really liked this system (purchased May, 2016) until the plastic housing broke without warning while under pressure and flooded the house. So nice filtered pristine water still ruins things just like unfiltered city water.Clearly a mfr defect in the plastic. It appears sturdy but It broke right around the bottom edge and down the middle where the injection molding nipple is. After this happened, I noticed other reviews of failures exactly like mine. Plastic filter housing breaks without warning even after years of service.Since I already have extra filters and everything is already installed under the cabinet, I decided to add a auto-shutoff water detection system under the filter units and behind the fridge and get a replacement filter housing from aquasana.Called Aquasana and they want you to create an account, sign up for "Water For Life", put you on hold and eventually try an make you pay shipping to ship out the plastic housing replacement. The rep said it was 'out of warranty' because I didn't buy directly from Aquasana, create an account (at purchase time) and sign up for "Water For Life" (at purchase time). I simply bought it on Ebay, I had no way to know about accounts or "Water For Life". After 20 minutes on hold, they finally agreed to my demand of not paying for shipping but it was a "one time thing" and if anything ever goes wrong (floods my house again?) with the unit in the future, I will have to pay for everything myself. No apologies or concern for the nature of the failure.SO - AVOID AQUASANA PRODUCTS (AND/OR INSTALL WATER LEAK SHUTOFF DEVICES) ! As others have said. YOU'LL BE SORRY."Only difference they merely referred me to their 'claims' people at number of a water heater company. No 'claims' there. Hope they have a California corporations license. If so, will sue them here. I purchase here at almost identical time as this earlier poster and fracture was identical. Obviously poor design on pressure aspect. My house is regulated by city pressure, 75# so it's not an over-pressure problem. Poor customer relations and service.
