Installed quickly - works great!

This was a 20 year old Broan bathroom extractor fan, its commissioning and overhaul took a long time out at full speed once the plastic cover was removed removing one screw allowed me to easily remove the fan assembly (with lots of dust falling on the floor!) everything fitted perfectly and the rotation was counter clockwise, looking at the shaft - same as the first (important, otherwise it won't work) blade on the shaft, being careful to line up the flat side of the shaft, I measured the noise

Inexpensive Electrical Repair

This worked well to get the Aubrey 7550/7564 working again. I had to change the direction of rotation. Out of the box it was clockwise when I needed it to be clockwise when viewed from the end of the shaft. To change the direction of rotation you need to remove the end caps and flip the armature so the shaft comes out on the other side of the motor. To do this, remove the lock nuts, and then thin long screws (head 6 mm). They screw into the rear end cap. If the end caps do not fall off afterโ€ฆ

Great Deal on Electric Motors

Accepted today, fantastic deal IMO. In our more than 44 years. Here I replaced some in my bathroom's Nutone exhaust fan and this one is cheaper, as are the grate covers (2) I bought. Also last time the nutone girl told me about $30 for these covers WTFREAK I paid $5 here same. Anyway, I don't understand who has problems with these fans. The small mounting nuts are in the exact same place as the two I have in the bathroom and laundry room (I don't know the brand name in the laundry room, but the

Our laundry room exhaust fan has failed. The house was built in 1996 and unfortunately replacing the fans with the new Silent models required a lot more work which we have time for. So the next best thing was to find a replacement fan/motor. Since Universal said so, we thought we'd give it a try. Remember when looking for a fan/motor replacement you need to pay attention to where the outlet connects to the metal bracket. Some are side mounted and some are center mounted. So check this outโ€ฆ

We had an old, noisy, unreliable fan in our downstairs bathroom and while looking for a replacement fan that would work without access to the attic I came across this solution. I pulled out the old fan mount (be prepared for a lot of dust - wear goggles!) and found it stamped Broan 688-H/663-H. After removing the mounting bolts and nuts I wasn't able to remove the old fan from the motor shaft, but when I started really trying, the old, fragile fan broke, allowing easier access to the motorโ€ฆ
