I was quite skeptical at first as were the other reviewers but the first thing that struck me when I received the heater block was that it was too heavy for brass is . or aluminum, so that was fine. After some screwing and unscrewing of the thermal break, the coating on the threads started to wear off (hence the 4 stars instead of 5), but because of this defect I saw that the block itself was actually made of copper and not some other metal. I've been using it on my FLSUN Q5 for a few weeks now and it works well and holds heat much better than the original aluminum block it came with. If you want to build your own V6 style hotend I recommend this heater block.
