Everything is fine except for the sticky. Until I fixed (updated)

I really wanted to like it. I really need a replacement trackball for my Logitech that became unstable after about a decade. This mouse would be perfect if the ball rolled smoothly. But that's not the case. It sticks with small movements, which makes it almost impossible to use. My original review is shown below. However, I seem to have found a solution. A few minutes ago I was sitting at my computer and it still wasn't perfect, even with the Logitech ball. And the Sanwa sphere moves so smoothly in the Logitech case. I threw caution to the wind and decided the only thing that could cause sticking was the hole in the body for the ball. So I decided to operate. I inserted a new blade into my existential knife and examined the hole. It's definitely a bit tighter around the top of the ball. I carefully cut off a piece of plastic and it's no longer sticking! Perfect. It doesn't need to be modified to work properly. And I'm sure some people will cut too much and mess up the case. This might not be a great general solution. But now I'm happy with the functionality. My original unmodified mouse review is below. ----------------------- ------------------------------------- ---- ------------------- ----------------------- -------- ---------------------- The mouse body and the ball stick together. Enough to make it awful. Somehow the body and the ball stuck together. It's not a ball. I can transplant the Sanwa ball into my Logitech body and it's like butter. Soft as silk. Ideal. But this solution doesn't work because the optical reader on the old case doesn't detect the movement of the ball well. Now I use another option. I have a Logitech ball in a Sanwa cover. This is the best combo I have and is almost good enough. The Sanwa case is still the subject of some controversy. But it's more consistent and therefore more user-friendly. But still not the perfect "oily" friction-free feel of a Sanwa ball in a Logitech case. I don't know what to do now. I don't think lube will work. Though maybe I could smear part of the Sanwa's body. I'm tempted to make the hole a little bigger but I doubt I can fix it. Very disappointing!
