Review on πŸ‘œ Fujitsu Black Carrying Case PA03951-0651 - Improved Product Name for SEO by David Stewart

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A utility purchase that works great.

I need a bag for my Scansnap as I sometimes take it with me. I wanted a case that would fit and protect my scanner, which this case does. I wasn't interested in spending a lot of time on this purchase or looking for another case. I haven't really thought about buying it and the other Revain options seem similar and more expensive. Seems strong enough. However, I can't say I like it for a number of reasons: I wish it was softer, the case is awkward to load, and the zipper is hard to reach. The case offers basic protection from scratches and the like but isn't really soft so I don't think it will protect you if you drop it and being a soft case it doesn't have any texture to it provides crush protection. The scanner fits perfectly into the bottom of the case, but the cables could use better housing. The body is a rectangle/box leaving an empty space in front of the scanner tilted backwards. The flap has a large interior zippered pocket which is a natural place for your power and connection cords, but I splayed them around so they fill the empty space should you fold them back instead of just being where they should be. You must unzip the zipper fully to gain good access to install the scanner and access the cable pouch. This makes access a bit cumbersome, but I hope that changes after I hack it. I think I would have liked a better/different arrangement of the accessory pockets. The way it's done, the awkward "lips" overlap. I guess they did it to make it look complete by hiding the zip or protecting the zip, but you kind of have to dig under the flap to zip up or try to lift the hem to get at it to get. I don't want to exaggerate but I think I need to think about getting to the Blitz, which I wasn't expecting. You just don't have to think about it. A hack might help here too.

  • Great selection
Cons
  • Good but not great
