Great resource for children with Sensory Processing Disorders
I have a 5 year old who is currently in Occupational Therapy because he has sensory processing issues. His therapist sometimes uses a weighted blanket when he's at his desk to do things that involve writing, using scissors, or other things when using his hands so he doesn't fidget his legs as much. She recommended that we use it for 15 minutes at a time as needed. He doesn't use it before bed. Only sometimes when he asks to use it or when we're trying to work on a letter etc. It's a super soft blanket and not as loud as some can be. He loves very much!
