First Otter. I usually go with soft cases. Heard good things and wanted the new phone to be safe. Sold and manufactured by Amazon. Cheaper than the store version. It was easy to take apart and put back together. There is a thin screen cover. The plastic above the home button has become even thinner. There is a small gap between the screen and the protective film, but it works well. The front and rear speakers are open. The front end is weak, but the assembled rest feels solid. The buttons are a bit harder to press. The lower speakers are open. The silent controls and zippered openings are latched shut, but they're easy to open and line up properly. I love that the belt clip doubles as an easel. Haven't dropped it yet so I don't know how well it works. 8/25/17 I've dropped it several times and it's fine, no scratches or chips. When heated and removed several times, the soft shell does not sit tight and does not stick to the buttocks. He also seemed to defend well.
