this is the device I was looking for. I had three more and they all did the same thing as this device. I have a Mac, a PC and an Android phone. Now I can use this to connect to everyone. I inserted my mini SD card, plugged it into the appropriate port, and each device saw the card as usual. I like that it has a full SD card slot; Although they're no longer used, I have some older devices that still use these cards, so it's nice to have that option. The only downside is that my MacBook Pro has two USB-C ports on each side. Because this device is Y-shaped and USB-C is on a Y-leg, I need to remove a device from my Mac's USB-C port because there isn't enough room for that device when another device is plugged into it . same side. Actually it doesn't matter, because most of the time I don't have all 4 USB C ports full, so I just slide the device to the other side and put this card reader separately on one side.
