When I received it I unpacked it and turned it on immediately to see if it would eliminate the smoke smell in my bedroom. Within 10 minutes on high settings the smell was gone. Kentucky is definitely high in pollen, and I avoided it. I woke up with sinus problems a few days before I got the air purifier - not the next morning. White noise is probably too loud for me to fall asleep in highs, but in the mids or lows it's a very low hum that I can't imagine many would mind. So far, I am very satisfied. The filter is easily accessible and can be easily replaced when the time is right. My room has had less dust build up which is great and I sigh it works as it should. The price is right and it does the job perfectly, I'm tempted to get one for my kid's room but I'll test it out for a while first.
