I had never heard of Maxpedition Gear until I bought one of their "Tritium" keychains (I've since bought two more). I was so impressed with the keychain that I looked at their other products. I was looking for a very small, compact and durable wallet and it seemed to fit the bill. A while back I switched to a very thin leather case that only fits three credit cards, two ID cards and a couple of insurance cards - all really "critical" things. However, this still required me to carry a few insurance cards, a few business cards, some folded money, and sometimes some paper for notes, tickets, etc. I wanted something small and compact that I could stick in the front pocket and it had to be durable because it shares that pocket with coins and sometimes keys (so no soft leather). This micro wallet works great for me. It can hold quite a lot of things despite its small size. It does NOT have any sort of closing mechanism (like velcro etc) but I believe it stays closed properly. I almost ordered black as I always prefer a very conservative look but instead I went for khaki and I find it very attractive.
