Review on 🌩️ Certified Thunderbolt Supporting Industrial Electrical by Cable Matters by Cre Soto

Works like an Oculus Link cable

I bought this cable to use with Oculus Link and it works great. Although this cable is more expensive than the Anker 10-foot USB-A to USB-C cable that Oculus affiliates with on their website, I wanted a higher-quality CC cable that is somewhat future-proof. This cable is TECHNICALLY capable of transferring 20Gb/s as advertised, but you'll most likely get 5Gb/s if you just run it from a standard USB-C port on a PC to a device (in my case Oculus Quest) use. To get the full 20 Gbps, you need a USB-C port that specifically supports Thunderbolt 3. I'm guessing you already know if your computer is Thunderbolt 3 by looking at this cable, but the Cable Matters website lists all compatible computers if you want to check. With that in mind, this is a very powerful USB 3.1 Gen 2 cable. It's THICK, which gives me confidence that it can handle the stress of connecting to a device that gets moved around a lot. I received the 6.6ft (2m) version of the cable which is the longest they offer (currently) for this cable and I should specifically point out that Oculus recommends a 10ft cable, to ensure you can do standing/room scale VR. feels good. However, I received this cable to test during development in Unreal, which I will be sitting in front of my PC, so the length of this cable is perfect for my purpose. This cable is durable and looks like it will last a long time. Time. I'm happy with that.
