I won't talk about rotation speed or brush speed. I've tried similar products before and they ended up under the sink. Even brushing every 3 months leaves gum pockets, so I thought I'd try again. The device requires little space. I was able to find a $66 double unit with coupons and promotions at K***'s. Same price as most electric toothbrushes. I like its compact size and it's easy to keep clean. The water tank has an attached lid, I did not find any crevices in the toothbrush that would collect water and/or mold. After a few days of using the device, my teeth became cleaner. The toothbrush has 3 speeds, using a clean speed reminds me of a tooth polisher. My teeth look clean after a visit to the dentist. The irrigator is no more or less messy to use than any other, it's all about understanding the technique to avoid splashing water in the bathroom. The device comes with multiple toothbrush heads so they can be used together, as well as a variety of rinsing heads. I am satisfied with this device. Update 17.01. I still use my toothbrush and hate vacations without it. I don't use the irrigator that often, maybe once a week with flossing every day. I have to come back to that. HOWEVER, over the weekend while changing the toothbrush head, I managed to break the brush head shaft. I called the Irrigator this morning and they sent me a brand new complete set for free. I expected to have to pay something. Since they don't just sell the toothbrush for this unit, they ship the entire unit. This is a company that stands behind their product.
