This was my first lap chair. I have to say it holds my posture great for the first hour or two, but I'm a med student and sit at my desk most of the day, and it's not the most comfortable chair to have all day. First, the knee pads really bothered my lower legs initially. I often had to get up to take a break and stretch my legs. My shins have adjusted, but after a few hours I'm still uncomfortable and find myself fidgeting a lot to take the pressure off my shins. The second problem is that after a few hours in this chair, my posture gets pretty bad. Trust me, it's still pretty easy to lean over a desk in this chair. This is something to keep in mind, just like with a regular chair. Overall it's not bad, but I wish I could have spent the money on a nice office chair instead. This chair definitely did not eliminate my back pain which is why I bought it. Unfortunately, I have already exceeded the return deadline.
