Essential pain relief for bodybuilding / muscle pain

I do a lot of bodybuilding style strength training and have suffered several injuries over the years. Namely: My lower back is quite agitated and often hurts. I already do a lot of post workout stretching and foam rolling which has helped a lot but after trying these massage balls I will never go back to a foam roller. These pieces are small, hard, and fit in places a foam roller can't reach. What I do specifically is slide it under my buttocks and roll it until I find a very painful spot and then sit on it hard for about 3 minutes trying to relax my muscles as much as possible. It's really VERY painful (nothing good for you is ever good), but it drastically relaxes the lower back and helps relieve the pain afterwards. I highly recommend that you give it a try if you have muscle pain. It's going to hurt, but hold on. After one session I felt a little better.
