Review on 💾 Oyen Digital Mobius Pro 2C: High-Performance USB-C RAID Hard Drive Enclosure (3R2-2C-M) by Michael Keitt

I bought this application to use as individual drives, not in RAID 0/1. I use Ironwolf 4TB NAS drives. The case seems to work, apart from the very sluggish performance, the read/write speeds are around 37 MB/s and 39 MB/s respectively. The case connects to my 2019 iMac (3.7GHz i5 processor, 40GB RAM) and directly to my Mac via USB-c. Not sure what the problem is, but definitely not what I expected from a USB-C device. I have another external Dual Drive Enclosure (OWC) with similar drives (4TB Baracudas) and I'm getting over 100MB/s read/write speeds on this one. Even my cheap NAS is much faster, hovering around 90-100MB/s. I wrote to them in support. Let's see what they say, maybe there is something to correct. If not, this block will definitely be returned. I'll update this once I get a response from their tech support. I have changed my rating from 1 to 4 stars. It looks like the initial sluggish performance is due to a bad USB-C-to-C cable. When the case is connected via the CA cable, the transfer speeds hit the 120-150MB/s range, which is fine for my needs. Oyen will send a replacement CC cable. The fan noise is quite audible and I couldn't keep the case on my desk and had to move it, which is something to consider.
