photo below, please note that1 - outside photo at f8, focus infinity minus a hairline, camera setting exposure2 - detail on the car photo, taken from the original 8.4 megapixel image without post-processing3 - image cafe , I'm about 8 feet from the nearest corner of the building. - A decent lens seems well built, the focusing mechanism is cushioned well enough to stay where you put it, the F-ring has positive detents. As other reviewers point out, the one-foot minimum focus works against the concept. Each fisheye gives the most dramatic close-up effect, if that's what you want. I read a review elsewhere about the glass being very good but there is a lot of plastic in the construction so don't expect it to last years and years. For the amount of use this will get in my lifetime I'm sure it's more than enough. The sharpness at medium settings on my camera was a pleasant surprise. I hated paying what it costs to be honest, but with decent branded lenses starting at double the price, the solid feel and image quality is just right for my needs.
