By letting the sponge air dry, you prevent a slimy and smelly sponge from appearing on the kitchen sink.

I've never seen a vertical sponge holder. When I saw it I realized this is what I need! In the kitchen sink, he soaks the sponge to air dry, preventing the slimy, smelly sponge that is so gross. Sure, I still run it in the washing machine once a week with a load of towels, but with this sponge holder, it stays fresher longer and it lasts longer before falling apart.
