I bought this for our 35 lb rescue dog and it has worked really well. The velcro is very strong and strong so it takes a lot of strength to remove it. I wanted to because I wanted to pick her up by this vest. and it can be done. This is a durable vest for boating or any other water sport you have in mind. I've been looking for this vest for a long time and found this to be the best deal (price) for quality.
