I had very high hopes for this mask for snorkeling in Hawaii but hated every second of using this mask. The idea behind it is great, but not as good as plain regular masks. The screen often fogged up, but worst of all was the magnification it gave. I seriously felt like I was inches away from the coral reefs and kept swimming away from the things I was trying to see because I seriously felt like I was right on top of the reefs. Some might think it's a feature, but my wife and I both bought these masks and had the same very uncomfortable, claustrophobic feeling. This ruined our experience and made us feel doubly stupid buying and using these masks instead of just using the ones provided by the tours. It's also important to note that inhaling is different than inhaling a regular snorkel mask. In the beginning I really struggled to get enough oxygen. Snorkeling guides have dubbed these types of masks "death masks" because several people in Hawaii have recently died from asphyxiation, the build-up of carbon dioxide while wearing them. never buy.
