I read the reviews on this b4 when I first bought it. I was a little hesitant as all the reviews highlighted the strong 'smell' of the product. Some positive, some negative. The lemon scent is quite strong right out of the box; but if used in a dryer and tearing the sheet along the perforated lines as the instructions suggest; I found that I really like this dryer sheet! The smell is quite pleasant and does not linger on clothes as strongly as it initially smells in the box. I also use the 7th generation dryer sheets and find that Ms. Meyer's dryer sheets give a better "wrinkle free, static free" result than the 7th generation. I think I buy Mrs. Meyers all the time.
