We use these as stepping stones to get in and out of a large caravan at both entrances. I was pleasantly surprised by their strength and lightness. Doesn't wobble when stepped on or off. Easy to fold and store compactly. During our work, we have many people of different weights in and out of the trailer every day. Don't know about the £1000 rating but we've had some pretty heavy people using them. Non-slip strips work great as they can sometimes get stuck in the rain. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them for other purposes. My only wish is that they come in a higher height.
