I bought this flashlight (for food photography) on the recommendation of Caleb from DSLR Video Shooter. This is one of his favorite lights of 2018. Daylight has always been my light source when photographing food, but it gets dark pretty quickly in winter. Also, the lack of light limited my ability to photograph food in the evening. I have a couple of Alien Bees flashes that I use for portrait photography; However, my extensive research has led me to the realization that I need constant coverage. I was so happy to stumble upon the DSLR Video Shooter YouTube channel. I learned a lot from Caleb's feedback. I didn't want to spend a fortune on lighting because photography is just a hobby for me, so when Caleb recommended this lighting kit, I agreed. I tested it the same day I received it to make sure it worked for me. I was setting up a flat layout and needed an overhead light so I hung the light on a backdrop stand and it worked great. The attached photo was taken without color temperature post-correction and looks like daylight. This light is bright! The only thing that bothered me was that there was no proper guide on how to set everything up. But I finally found out.
