Very easy to assemble. The instructions are a little vague, but it's a fairly simple build. I assembled it in about 20 minutes. Seems to be strong. There are few problems. One is that the area that the cat jumps on is very small (my cat is only 6 pounds and is very small, but I have a feeling if it were a little bigger it would have trouble climbing on it). Second (which doesn't matter if you don't have young kids in your family because it's sturdy enough to stand if only one cat climbs on it, but I have a one year old and a three year old lol) is that there aren't any there isn't really a way to mount it to the wall. Other than that, it definitely works. Would recommend to anyone with a small cat.
