Review on SEO-Optimized: DXA-MICRO PRO Beachtek Audio Adapter by Chris Lacasse

I bought this to use with my Sony a6400 and my Sennheiser MKE 600 microphone in my basement video studio. I used to record on my Zoom H4N recorder and sync the files as I post, but that's just an extra step and can take quite a while if you have a lot of files! This little marvel lets you capture the incredible sound you want from an XLR microphone, along with your video, straight to your camera, resulting in the highest quality output with perfectly timed audio/video, ready for editing! Integrating it into my workflow has been a lifesaver! It's very easy to use, but you may need to play around with the settings a bit to find the right result for you. I love that you can plug your headphones straight in to check levels at the moment. I love that you can mount it either above the camera (cold shoe) or below it. I chose to mount from below (on the tripod, under the camera). My mic doesn't require phantom power (it's battery operated) and I love that you can turn the phantom power on and off as needed. The device itself feels very solid and well made, not cheap and flimsy at all. My only real complaint about it is that it requires a 9V battery and the battery doesn't last very long (longer if you don't use phantom power). 9V is more expensive and annoying than other battery types that might as well power it. I wish they included an AC adapter that you could plug into an outlet when you're not traveling. It's annoying but doesn't break the deal. Also, it's a bit annoying that I have to unscrew the camera from the device to remove the SD card, but that's not the device's fault. In general, once I set everything up, I'm delighted with the performance of this device! I don't recommend it to writers who use higher quality mics and want to save time on publishing!
