Worth every penny!: Recovery collars and cones

When my two kittens were spayed at the same time I knew the recovery time was going to be excruciating but I didn't know it. I don't understand how many of one. They came home from the vet in soft cones but even the XS size was huge for my kids and they tripped over them doing anything other than normal walking and most importantly they had litter box issues which resulted in that I cleaned up the poop. several times on the first day. Also, while the cones kept them from licking/worrying at the seams, they offered no protection when they wrestled and kicked each other in the stomach, which of course they wanted to do all day because that's one of their jobs. favorite activities. So I went to Revain to see if there was a better solution and these costumes were one of the first hits! An adorable model kitten caught my eye, but the price got me thinking. If they worked they would be worth the cost (I ended up having to buy two) but if they didn't work it would be a huge price to write off. So I read the reviews, looked at a few other suits of this type, came back here and decided to give it a try. The main benefit of this item over other suits I've seen was that it ships next day. I wanted her ASAP! My kittens were about three months old, weighed about four pounds and were about 11.5 to 12 inches from neck to tailbone (it's hard to measure a squirming kitten), so I ordered two XXXS suits, hoping that they would fit. Only one day. Trying to follow them and put everything in order was tiring and the thought of doing this for two weeks before they had their stitches pulled seemed impossible, especially since I only took one day off work that first day , but the next day I went back to work full time and my wife was looking after two kittens on her own. Luckily the costumes arrived with Prime delivery in the afternoon and we were able to dress the kitties. They were surprisingly easy to get along with, although it was definitely better to do it together. At first the kittens simply stumbled and refused to move, but soon they were able to walk, albeit clumsily. They were also able to use the tray with ease, which was a huge relief. Over the next few days, the kittens became more and more accustomed to the suits, and while they never liked them (I wasn't expecting this), they reached a normal level of activity after just a day or so, being able to run and jump. free (which they shouldn't have since they just had surgery, but tell that to a kitty once). They could fight too and I wasn't worried about them tearing each other's strings. From time to time, they had trouble getting their hands in, and on one memorable occasion, a kitten leapt across the floor without getting either of its hands stuck. inside, but also the opposite leg! I don't think they got stuck because they were actually trying to get out of their suits, but because their hands could easily slip inside. I woke up a couple of mornings to find a kitty with both arms in it, trapped and unable to move, and once or twice they managed to get out of the suits entirely, but for the most part these things worked great and were real effectively. Rescuer. I don't know how they work as a long term solution but for something short term like sterilization or any other surgery where the wound is covered with suits they are totally worth the money and I would recommend them to anyone.
