My husband uses it on winter road trips in the auto industry and he swears that this alligator makes the difference between constantly cooling yourself and barely noticing the cold (in combination with a jacket, hat and gloves, of course). Never used an alligator. than this one, so there's no comparison, but this one works surprisingly well for us.
