I have 2 of these headlights. First I used silicone to attach it to the lid of my 10 gallon betta tank. Thanks to the suction cups, the light hung under the water surface and the light did not spread throughout the aquarium. By attaching it to the surface of the cover, the light gets slightly higher than the water surface and is better diffused. The Betta hates the light, but the plants are fine. I only have it at 80% for about 3 hours, then I give Cliff a break and it drops to 40%. I have a dimmer. The old version of this lamp did not have a timer. The second one I bought for my back retreat worked fine but I upgraded it to blue and red grow light which makes a big difference. I use the second for the quarantine tank. It is cheap and good to have an emergency light on hand.
