Review on ☕ bonVIVO Intenca Stovetop Espresso Maker - Luxurious Italian Coffee Machine - Stainless Steel Espresso Maker - Full-bodied Coffee Espresso Pot - Brews 5 to 6 Cups (10 oz) - Moka Pot in Copper Chrome Finish by Victor Glatzel

The lid is poorly designed

The good first: This is a really great product. The copper color of the top looks beautiful and the handle looks elegant yet durable. I applied it to everything with the same care I applied to this part of the design. And now the bad: The cover completely spoils the whole thing. The hinge is attached to the body, not the handle, and the body is too thin to handle that much torque. And the strap is so loose that it wobbles and makes a rattling noise just when you lift it. In contrast, most Moka lids have a tight hinge mounted on or near the handle that doesn't move unless you actively open or close it. This is a problem for several reasons: 1. Most importantly, when opened, the lid falls back towards the handle, causing the lid lever to hit the pot body and creating a dent (which gradually turns into a crease in the lid). Metal). I noticed this problem right away, so I've been very cautious since day one. However, after only a week of use, I noticed that the shape of the pot deformed into a slightly elongated shape. (looks at him from above). It's hard to tell how bad it will get over time, but it's not good. Dents are also visible from the outside, detracting from the beautiful appearance of the brass case.2. It looks insanely cheap. That's really unacceptable for a $40 moka pot when a $20 model will do the same job and last a lifetime. Rating Summary: For me it loses 2 stars due to what I believe to be a major flaw in the lid hinge design. I give the 3rd star because the pot is hardly screwed into the base. I don't know if it's the threads or something else, but it's harder to screw on than any moka pot I've ever used (including my cheap old Ikea). It gets a 5 for looks alone, no question, but it needs to be functional and durable, and it falls far short in those areas.
