Review on Gigabyte GeForce Graphics GV N107TGAMING 8GD Renewed by Stanislaw Mirzalek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend it.

Actually, what is dissatisfied with and how it was treated. Tired of the whistle of chokes (inconsistent), which was also joined by the crunch of one of the coolers. In addition to the censorship: "I am indignant" - there was nothing to say. Having looked through various sources, and having learned that there are very, very many like me. After reading a couple of letters from the manufacturer that, they say, the whistle of chokes is normal, but the coolers crackle - well, it happens and is not a warranty case. Having admired similar phenomena on youtube, I downloaded the gigabyte vga-extreme engine control program from the gigabyte site. With the help of which I ated the BIOS from version F10 to version F11 (initially, you can’t download it from the Gigabyte website, in any way) I had to download it from a third-party site, from a bunch of different drivers. After the ate, the whistle of the throttles disappeared (in any case, it occurs extremely rarely and is almost inaudible). Regarding coolers. Initially (before the firmware) the manufacturer set up the cooler control system so that the cooler does not start to rotate until 49˚C, then it accelerates to 1800-2200 rpm and the card “takes off”. In the BIOS settings (according to the letters from Gigabyte) there were problems with the control of the “star-stop” start of coolers and, supposedly, this was why the coolers cracked. After flashing the cooler, by default, they began to work at 20% power, which is approximately 850 rpm, and does not cause any acoustic discomfort. Since the coolers no longer stop, the crunch and cod are also not observed, but what will happen next is not yet clear. Summary. It is very strange that such a crude product is sold for such a lot of money. The trust of coolers on the new map is generally some kind of nonsense. For the first time I meet with the fact that ating the firmware can change the quality of the product used for the better. So, if you are facing the same problem as me and other users, try ating the BIOS firmware version.

Cons
  • Silence. Symbol applicable to this map since. at 2022 rpm in a closed case, you can clearly hear how the coolers work. No, they don't moan, they don't buzz (they're just getting ready to take off). I will write about coolers a little lower. Chokes. I don’t play in 4K, only Full HD, but from time to time, the chokes produce a whistle that is not illusory (I note that this is typical not only for Gigabyte cards, but even for Asus. I don’t even have to talk about other manufacturers, everyone whistles. (At the moment this I solved the problem, about which again, a little lower) overclocking potential. I was initially not interested. By default, the manufacturer sells the version “out of the box” with slightly higher frequencies than the “stock”, which is quite enough for me, BUT FOR THOSE WHO DO IT IMPORTANT, the manufacturer puts memory from two manufacturers Samsung and Micron. If there are no problems with Samsung arises, then with Micron you are limited in your experiments and overclocking potential. It is absolutely impossible to find out before the moment of purchase. I won’t say anything about heating above 70 ˚С, I have never heated up, but the cooling circuit itself consists only of copper thermotubes, without a mirror platform that is in direct contact with the processor.
