I paid 1280 dollars for it exactly one week ago. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality (despite being made in China)! Portraits done in muted tones don't look terrible at all (although someone with the same "fifty dollars" could probably draw things more realistically and with higher quality, but that person is irrelevant right now). As a macro lens not suitable. I was able to take pictures of the birds using what amounted to a telephoto lens for photography. The lens performed admirably, but there was one flaw: the autofocus function was unable to keep up with the fast-moving birds, and as a result, the images were smeared quite a bit. In order to avoid this problem, you should use a camera with a manual focus. Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor, it is more suitable for shooting sports and shooting where very fast autofocus is required, but they practically do not differ in picture quality, we tested it yesterday with a friend on our D90s in the same conditions with the same settings, who is interested, I'll post it on my page a little later. In overall, I feel comfortable recommending this lens to anyone who is looking for an affordable telephoto lens of high quality to use for photographing animals, portraits, or any other events that demand a decent zoom!
