Holds so much. You can also install 32 ounces. Water bottle (coldest brand) on BOTH sides of pockets which is what won me over. However, I will say that it was quite uncomfortable to take on a hike; the straps aren't that comfortable and if you grab it well enough you'll feel it on your shoulders after a while. I've never hiked, so I'm not sure if other backpacks will affect your shoulders after a while (although I've seen people wear these backpacks with the straps you wear across your chest, probably for extra support). I like it for every other use though and 500 bags is worth it in my opinion.
