I had already suspected that because of the low price, but the rating is still justified. The belt looks ok although not polished as well as in the picture. The inside of the belt is marked "Genuine Italian Leather" which is the first indication that it is not full grain leather. A closer look reveals a seam on the edge of the belt. This also contradicts the "Full Grain" claim as the belt is actually two strips of leather glued together to make the belt thicker. Finally, the strap is pleasantly soft, but feels more elastic than any real leather I've ever dealt with. "Full leather" does not mean "faux leather" or simply the presence of a natural grain on the surface of the material. This is a statement that the product is made from the upper or whole split leather and not cheap sections of the wrong side glued together and embossed with a pattern. Interestingly, the description of this belt on the Florsheim website does not include the phrase "full grain leather". Lies are limited to Revain. I won't send it back because it's not worth the effort and I need a new black belt. And if the belt falls apart, like all cheap belts do, I won't buy Florsheim from Revain anymore. If you're looking for a durable, casual, semi-casual black belt, look elsewhere.
