Not as strong as I had hoped.
It would be ideal if the ball joint and seat were made of metal. Unfortunately, the protrusions on the metal ball have flattened the plastic connector, making it difficult for me to hold my large phone without tipping over. You can put it in its working position, but I would never trust it to hold my DSLR for fear it might tip over and damage my camera.
