I needed a USB extension cable for my webcam and I came across this one. So glad I did! Much better than going to the settings to turn off the webcam on the computer or disable the USB when I'm not using the webcam. I turned it off, but that meant the webcam had to be plugged into the front of the computer tower and the cord had to stick out or lie flat on the floor when not in use. Now it is connected to the back of the tower. , and the switch on that cable is on my monitor. Works perfect. I tried it on my 3.0 external hard drive to see if it was a high speed 3.0 cable and that was it! I will buy another one for my external microphone on my next order.
