Not reusable. High risk of serious injury and high legal liability.

*** I AM NOT A LAWYER AND THE FOLLOWING IS MY OPINION ONLY *** No, this is not reusable. When they hit a solid service, they break into small sharp fragments. If you try them for target shooting, be sure to wear eye protection. Unless you have full legal support from law enforcement, I would not recommend individuals to use them for self-defense. Your legal liability and risk of serious injury are extremely high. In self-defense against an unarmed attacker, it is much better to use ordinary paint bullets or pepper bullets. If you are using regular paintballs I would recommend using a color other than red. This reduces the risk of filing a civil lawsuit for emotional injury (if the attacker believes he is bleeding from a real firearm). I also tested heavier metal balls surrounded by vinyl. They're less likely to break into sharp pieces, but I wouldn't recommend them for the same legal liability reasons. They can easily break bones, and if an attacker takes a hit to the head, they can crack their skulls. In my opinion, the most established, legally tested defensive balls are pepper balls. I believe they are legally considered equivalent to using pepper spray, but be aware that they still carry some legal risk. Please do your own research and check local laws before considering using ANY type of self defense equipment.
