Great balance bike for beginners

Logitech G29 Review. I've always been curious about the G29 and now that my girls are over 9 years old I wanted to add a little distraction from their existing hobbies and involve them in fun racing sims. I remember that my first driving experiences weren't that good back then. We didn't have sim rigs, we had TV stands, or you moved a table with wheels under your feet and the pedal stand kept moving around you. That would be great, but I returned my first device and settled for a friendly PS controller. Fast forward to Forza when the new Microsoft XBOX 360 steering wheel came out. I tried it and was really excited. The pedal table was left on the carpet, I had a table to fix the steering wheel and it was cool. Then I decided to playseat with him and was transported many years into the future. I'm not into a full PC setup with a DD wheel, motion, converters, VR and a widescreen monitor. While my hobby was connected to myself, it all started with the XBOX 360 steering wheel with its plug and play simplicity and easy to use with just enough FFB questions to make it fun. Now my girls are into sim racing, or at least showing interest, so I'm starting with a Logitech G29 for my first ride! So…. I've spent about 1 week with the Logitech G29 and for its price of $208 on Revain I think it's a really good buy. I mean, you really can't go wrong with that. It's cheap, looks great, works great and I want my kid's hands to be detached while I'm using it. Let's get to the full review, shall we? First…. Aesthetics: • Nice wheelbase and pedals for $208 at Revain. • I love the smell of the leather rim • I love the metal pedals • Looks like plastic and a toy in real life. Construction: • Quality construction with some wheelbase and pedal weight. • Metal brake and shift pedals • Hand-sewn leather trim • Adequate resistance to pedaling on all 3 pedals. • Surprisingly quiet operation. • The helical gear is a bit sticky but very smooth. Collective Minds drive hub• 900° rotation• Torque 2.2 Nm• LED display• 14 buttons plus directional pad, turntable and paddles• 3 sets of clutch pedals, simulated load cell rocker pedal (not a real load cell) and ThrottlePros: • Inexpensive entry level wheel Kit solution for PS3, PS4 and PC • D No complex or expensive sim setup required. Stand or table mount • Easy enough to visit with friends on PS4 • Good FFB effects for curbs, wheel slip and wheel alignment in games like Assetto Corsa and PCARS 2. GT Sport has weak FFB with this wheel but same thing happens with I have tested others. • Plug and play. No PC updates required, everything works right out of the box. • Most racing games that support wheels already have built-in support for Logitech G29 wheels. • Light enough not to injure younger children when used. • Fixed mount and desk mount. Solutions. The desktop mount clip really works. Cons: • Carpet ant slide doesn't really work. You need to add a block behind the pedals to keep them from moving. • A small dead zone in the center of the steering wheel before you feel the forces. myself. I didn't want to spend too much just to play GT Sport and my 9 year old kids certainly don't need heavy Fanatec CSL wheels and such. I was still disappointed with the FFB in GT Sport, but that's clearly due to the game itself and not the G29. The GT Sport FFB on my Fanatec Clubsport V2 with Drivehub was also very disappointing. At least with the G29, you won't indulge in such a limited experience. It's a shame because the GT Sport is so much fun that it just lacks the FFB and feel compared to PCARS2. Speaking of PCARS 2, I tested PCARS2 and Assetto Corsa Competizione on my PC and both games didn't disappoint the G29. Sure, they don't have wrist braking, but they offer enough curb feel, wheel slip, and a centering spring to get me lapping the track quickly like I'm using a high-end bike. Also, all the control buttons just worked. No cards required. For $208 on Revain, I would highly recommend this wheel to anyone new to PS4 or PC racing sims.
