Having done many exhaust module/component replacements on some of the older cars I have owned, I have found that over the years many connections have become brittle due to the under hood heat. and age to the point that many crack or burst when removed from the component. One more detour to the parts depot and I'm living far in the outback! I returned to town and bought a connector from a well-known large parts store. It costs almost twice as much as the part. When I got it home I saw that it wasn't designed to be OEM (although it said so on the box) that it can actually take up to 3 wires, not just one wire. I wired it up and wired it to the component. The pressure I applied pushed the connector all the way back where the wire was attached. I went online and googled this part and to my surprise, Revane showed it was in stock! Not only available, but also in Prime. I clicked one. Also, it was Delco, the original supplier of the component. Three days later I'm under the hood, the wiring in the connector. When I squeezed it, there was a nice "click". I tugged to make sure the connection was secure, and it was. No more "me too” products from foreign manufacturers. Delco has the best guarantee!
