If only the light were brighter this mirror would be a five star product to me. I still have to use another light source to see as brightly as I want. The light isn't "natural sunlight", but it's not glaring either. You'll see the reflection of the ring of light in the iris, which is confusing at first, but you get used to it. All that aside, the mirror itself is very beautiful and yes, glamorous, and its size is surprisingly huge, much larger and heavier than I expected despite the stated dimensions. You can't rotate the mirror 360, which is odd, but if you loosen it up a little like another reviewer said, it switches from normal view to 5x view much easier. The 5x magnification helps my 49 year old eyes a lot. Damn age! I bought this model in an open box and it was a lot cheaper than "new" and still in great condition with the original packaging. I wish the light was brighter, but it's beautiful, functional, and I'll leave it.
