Bought as I thought it might be a 'nice to have' when replacing the glow plug on my 2011 Mercedes Sprinter Van. My problem with this tool is that it doesn't fully seat on the glow plug. It looks like it doesn't cover more than 1/3-1/2 of the drive end. Glow plugs in Mercedes diesel vehicles only have 15 lb/ft of torque when installed and can easily be sheared off at the head (requiring a very expensive repair) if not carefully removed. It's not worth the risk to me. Simply use a standard 8mm deep socket (which completely encloses and seals the glow plug) and then needle nose pliers to pull the plug out once it is no longer threaded.
