I thought it was time to buy a new food thermometer as my old one took forever to reach the final temperature which isn't great when cooking. This thermometer is pretty fast (maybe not as fast as the more expensive ones, but only a few seconds). The default setting is C, but a quick press of the button changes it to F. I like that it can be attached to the fridge or any metal surface so it's always handy and doesn't get lost in a desk drawer. It turns off automatically, but you can also click to turn it off. A bottle opener is also included if needed.
