I really regret buying these socks. First, they *smell* awful - very, very awful. It's kind of a chemical smell that doesn't go away even after a few washes (the smell was so awful it stank throughout my laundry room). Second, they are not thick at all compared to other wool socks I've bought, especially at the heel. In fact, I wouldn't even call these socks "wool" because after reading the Q&A (after I bought them because I'm stupid) it turned out that they were only 56% merino wool. Don't waste it. If that's what you spend your money on, spend a little more for better socks. I really regret that I bought 3 packs.
