As soon as I opened the box, an extremely unpleasant "animal" smell hit my face. I quickly don disposable gloves to further inspect the cake stands. I quickly realized that one of the grandstands was damaged, but I have to use the base of the broken grandstand because my event is in two days. This item arrived with a bad smell, partially broken and poorly packaged. I decided to hand wash all coasters and bases and then disinfect all parts with Clorox wipes. It turned out not bad, but I expected more for $45. For this reason I do not recommend this product.
