I have an outdoor pantry and the pull chain on the pendant light broke. I had to reach up to screw the light in and out each time, using a towel to protect my hand from the heat of the light being on for too long. Instead of replacing the circuit, I just unscrewed the bulb, screwed it in, screwed it back in and it worked. The chain is also long so you don't have to tiptoe or touch a hot lightbulb. I am happy with my purchase. No motion detection but not what I needed it for.
