I actually ordered this since I loved the style and print even though I am not pregnant I could see nothing about it that specifically screamed "maternity dress", it didn't even appear to be longer in the front that the back as some maternity wear is to accomodate being jacked up by a growing belly. So I took a chance and my hunch was right, this can totally be worn by anyone. Well, lol, except for someone with a big bust, which I have. On me this is not terribly flattering, I look like a giant set of boobs on top of a pretty, flowy dress. I ordered a large and the fit is fine, it's quite stretchy (and soft) and in dresses I wear a large or medium since I am 5'2" and weigh 147 and have a 36DD chest. The length is quite long, below my knees on my short frame. I adore the pockets and the print is adorable. It's a very easy comfy dress to wear and is very pretty, I am sad that I will be giving it to my daughter whose tall lanky frame will look much better in it.
