I have a Kindle 8th Gen and also a Kindle Touch. It fits both devices well, if not perfectly. I love that it lights up the entire page without the constant maneuvering I've had to do with other book lights. Changing the batteries can be a bit tricky as the cover is quite tight at first. With a little practice you will learn how to easily remove and replace the cover. A word of advice to remove it from your e-book first. I tried replacing it while it was still attached and ended up breaking the clip. That's why I'm buying the 3rd one. I still use both of my eBooks but I don't like moving them around so I prefer each to have their own.
