I bought this tomtoc Premium case to use with my 2017 12" MacBook and my favorite work accessory which is currently from a 30w OEM Third-party power supply, Magic Mouse 2, EarPods, USB. C hub with ethernet and a small amount of USB cables. It replaced the basic tomtoc case (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HCF0VRC/) that I bought earlier and returned a few days after receiving it. It should be noted that the basic Tomtoc case I returned is well constructed and great value. Its protective yet slim profile would be ideal for a student who could slip into a non-laptop book bag between their binders and textbooks. In this case, the accessory is in a different place in the book bag. But I'm not a student and haven't carried a book bag in decades. What *I* actually do is pack my laptop and its accessories into a case/bag/sleeve to put in my personal bag. Or put it in a large duffel bag. Or just carry it to work/cafe/anywhere. In short, in the absence of an additional padded laptop sleeve (which I would opt for a stylish minimalist leather case). I prefer to have my accessories in the same box as my laptop. This tomtoc "Premium" attachment fulfills this role. The main difference between the Tomtoc basic nozzle and the "Premium" nozzle is the design of the accessory bag. The one on the main sleeve is just another piece of fabric on the front of the sleeve. Flat objects that are difficult to damage (e.g. a paper notebook) are excellent for this. However, items with more depth (e.g. an OEM power supply) will pull on the pocket and push through the padding against the side of the laptop. At the same time, the outer surface of the accessory pouch is unlined, which offers little protection for the accessories inside. OTOH, the "Premium" case has a more complete pocket for accessories. It has more vertical space to better accommodate non-flat accessories, is divided into multiple stretchable compartments with zippers, and is padded. not as strong as the main laptop compartment, but still padded. The basic Tomtoc sleeve really is just that: a laptop only sleeve. The tomtoc "Premium" case is more suitable for a full-featured system media. As mentioned, the basic Tomtoc case is excellent value for money. In addition to a more sophisticated design, the tomtoc "Premium" case tries to justify its price with better materials (Cordura). However, it does not quite come close to the value of a basic hub that is twice as expensive. But it's normal. it's still very affordable, especially for the gear it contains/protects. Nibble: The only color scheme available for the 2017 12-inch MacBook is Sage Green. It's actually gray with touches of green, with pastel turquoise accents. To be honest this is an odd color choice. If you only need to make one color option for a product, black is always the best choice as it won't conflict with anything else that the consumer wants to use the product with.
