This is a great solution for connecting the Ring Doorbell 1 if you don't have one. 26 feet was enough to run it from a room to the service box where my ISP/TV provider's coax cable connects to my house along with the electro box and all those other services. In my situation I already had an existing hole so I had to run a service box with my coax cable from there out to the door. Again, 26 feet of wire allowed me to carefully run it from the outside along the gap between my front wall and the floor and then to the door frame and from the bottom up and down to the ring block itself. A piece of advice: test it quickly inside before messing with the wiring. At first I had an issue where the ring camera didn't register that it was hardwired. So make sure the silver tip is neatly rounded like a hook and is between the screw on the front. Select "Device Status" in the app to view the power source. It should say "Wired Connection" if it's providing power. Mine updated after a few minutes and forcibly closed the app and restarted on the iPad; Or on an Android device, press and hold the Ring app icon for a moment, then select App info, then Force stop to get a real app restart. If anything longer than 26ft exists I would consider buying this for those hard to reach spots. from the mains, otherwise if the mains is no more than 8 meters away, it is more than enough. Just take this into account before ordering to save yourself a headache later.
